Dear Linda and Paul,

I just wanted to email you and let you know that this month I have been saved 4 years. It was at the cowboy church in November, at the American Royal Rodeo in Kansas City, at the service during the rodeo while Paul was preaching that I prayed to receive Christ. Even though 2 years before, I had heard the gospel, really for the first time, at the Rodeo Bible camp in Olathe, Ks where I came to learn trickriding, but I didn’t live it until after the service that afternoon at the American Royal. That day it came to life for me. At the camps the 2 years before, the seed had been planted and watered, but that day at the Royal is really when I was saved. Thank you Jesus!!!!

It is awesome to see what God can do once He gets a hold of someone. I never in my wildest dreams would have imagined that God would bring me here to Mexico as a teacher. I always thought I would be riding horses or be a trickrider, but God had other plans! I am glad because I would much rather be saved doing whatever He wants than riding horses all of my life not knowing Him. Besides, He has placed His desires in me and I love Mexico. I think I will be here teaching for quite a while. It looks like, unless God tells me different, that I will be teaching here next year too. But I would love to stay in Mexico anyway and Lord willing, I will.

We are really praying for American teachers to come, we need 3 more. It seems like no one wants to do it, but we have to remember that God is faithful and He will send those who He calls. I had the opportunity to travel to the south of Mexico a couple weeks ago with my Mexican family. I had been wanting to go see the south, or somewhere in Mexico other than the border, and God answered my prayer!
